This Tuesday we will skate the newish segment of the lake to sound trail from Burien to the Des Moines Marina and back. This is a unique and exciting route, half downhill / half uphill, provides excellent training and really fun video game side scroller simulation through the forest.

Spice Level 2/5

Chill loops in the morning. Skate inner and outer loops, with a slide practice break at the boat ramp, and a resting stop at the Arch. All skill levels welcome!

Classic Magnolia Loop (counterclockwise) with Magnolia Bridge

19-mile route—two distinct out-and-back legs for adventure and steady-pace spice! Virtually no hills in sight, just pure rolling flow and great Seattle evening views.

Skate from Lumen to Alki, eat and hang out for a while before skating back together at sunset around 4:30pm. Two groups: chill route along the water, or grand tour of the West Seattle hills. Both groups end up on Alki Beach.

This chill T-roll leads us from SLU to Fremont bridge, where we put some effort to go up and say hi to Fremont Troll. After the stone guy, we are skating to Ballard to say another hi to Frankie, who is doing a bench press (if you can call it so) at the door of the Nordic History Museum. Empowered by our achievements, we proceed to Golden Gardens, which are Troll free at the moment, but still a great place to skate to before heading back to Shop Task.

Regroup by the Greenlake Park Arch, where everyone who craves hills and distance will be invited on a spicy adventure to Richmond Saltwater Park and some other places with stunning views and steep hills. This is an advanced friendly part of the skate!

Spice level: 1/5. Trail skate to the lower Magnolia trail. Hill free.

Two Bridges route, the spicy edition that includes Holgate, Gallagher and other hills.
