This event is a one-way 14.5-mile skate from Hyde Park to the Thames Barrier via Canary Wharf and Excel, divided into three sections with two stops along the route. Skaters must arrive early for a safety briefing and follow marshal instructions, skating at their own risk with the ability to control speed and turns. The skate finishes by 5pm and requires staying on the road, avoiding pavements, and no alcohol consumption while skating.
