This event starts with 30 minutes of skill drills followed by a casual 2-mile skate along Pennsylvania Avenue bike lanes from Woodrow Wilson Plaza to 3rd Street near the U.S. Capitol and back. It is designed for skaters comfortable on flat surfaces who want to build fitness and prepare for group road skating. Participants must wear helmets and protective pads, and those under 18 need adult supervision. Various wheeled equipment including inline skates, roller skates, bicycles, and skateboards are allowed.
