This event is a 10th annual intermediate to advanced level skate covering about 11 miles from Manhattan to the Dyker Heights Christmas lights in Brooklyn, with a faster pace than previous holiday skates. Skaters start promptly at 7 PM from Triona’s on Third, with additional pickup points along the route, aiming to arrive by 8:45 PM to explore and photograph the lights for 45 minutes before returning by skate train or Uber. The schedule is strict to catch the lights before they turn off, and a rain date is set for the following day if needed.
